Julia Beth Kowaleski
Julia Beth Kowaleski is an accredited music therapist (MTA) with over 15 years experience as a clinician. She received her initial music therapy training at Wilfrid Laurier University. She has advanced training in Neurologic Music Therapy® (NMT-F™) and completed the Masters of Music and Health and Collaborative Program in Neuroscience at the University of Toronto. Julia is a PhD candidate in the Music and Health Science program at the University of Toronto. She is past president of the Music Therapy Association of Ontario (2016-2022) and the past administrator for the Canadian Association for Music Therapists Online Supervision Course.
Dr. Jessi Teich
Jessi Teich, PhD, is a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC), an accredited music therapist (MTA), and a Neurologic Music Therapy® fellow (NMT-F™). She completed her Bachelor of Music in Music Education at Berklee College of Music and earned her Master of Music in Music Therapy at Arizona State University. In 2025, Jessi completed her PhD in Music and Health Sciences at the University of Toronto, where her research focused on applying Neurologic Music Therapy® sensorimotor techniques to improve motor coordination in children with autism. Jessi has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent and neurologically complex populations, including children and adults with autism spectrum disorder, rare genetic conditions, and traumatic brain injury. Before becoming a clinician, she spent over a decade as an award-winning songwriter and recording artist, experiences that continue to inspire her work at the intersection of art, science, and human connection.
Stephanie Thuy Quynh An
Stephanie An is a board-certified and accredited music therapist (MT-BC, MTA). She holds a Master of Music in Performance and Health from the University of Toronto, a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Behavioural Sciences as well as an Honours Bachelor of Music and Diploma in Music Performance from McMaster University. Stephanie is certified in Neural Networking Therapy (NNT) through Canadian Family Health Counselling in affiliation with Trent University, and she became a recognized Neurologic Music Therapist® (NMT) in 2022 through the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy®.
Ruth Francis-Lyster
Ruth Francis-Lyster is a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) and accredited music therapist (MTA) dedicated to supporting well-being and connection through music. She earned her Bachelor of Music Therapy from Capilano University in 2021, following a Music Diploma with a concentration in violin performance in 2017. In 2023, she completed her Neurologic Music Therapy® (NMT™) training through the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy®. That same year, she served on the Music Therapy Association of BC’s Neurodivergent and Diverse Needs Initiative Committee, contributing to the development of inclusive and accessible practices within the music therapy community.
Tracy Nguyen Huynh
Tracy is a registered social worker (RSW) with the The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Worker. She received her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
